霍金在香港

六月十五日，被稱為「當代愛因斯坦」的霍金終於在香港科技大學進行演講。香港無論是電視新聞，還是報章都似乎有不相關報導。不過，香港人的科學知識有多少，對宇宙有多少好奇心和認識，其實從中可以略知一二。因為報章文章十居其九都只圍繞有關霍金身體上的殘障，和他那種自強不息的人生態度去描寫和報導，關於宇宙的起源如何？霍金怎樣說，好像都沒有人留心，也沒有太多的文章報導，如果香港要邀請一位世界最著名的物理學家來，只是為了這個目的，這樣實在可惜。

I doubt that those people who went to his lecture actually understands or interested in what he was saying (I doubt that the kid who got admitted to UST without AL results understood much either). What he said was boring in essense (to the layman, physics is boring anyway), but to the physicist (like me) his lecture was only a overview with no new things added, just enough to let you know what phycists before postulated before and after him.
